Overview



In Season 2008, North Melbourne players not selected in the AFL competition will play with one of the club's two aligned VFL teams – North Ballarat and Werribee. North Melbourne recently secured an affiliate deal with VFL club Werribee for the next two seasons following the decision of their former partner, the Tasmanian Devils, to go it alone next year.

North Melbourne 2008 members can gain FREE access to North Ballarat and Werribee HOME matches upon presentation of their membership cards.

North Ballarat Alignment



After years of dominating the Ballarat Football League, North Ballarat Football Club was granted a licence to join the Victorian Football League. Since joining the VFL the Roosters have competed in two Senior Grand Finals, in 1999 and 2000, and also made the Preliminary Final in 1998 and the club has formed a successful partnership with the North Melbourne Football Club since 2006.

The North Ballarat Roosters won the 2008 VFL Grand Final, defeating Port Melbourne at Telstra Dome.

Werribee Alignment



The Werribee Football Club was established as a team in the VFA in 1965. In those early years the team was in 2nd division, and although success was not immediate in recent times the Tigers have come of age with the club a regular in September and the club won its first VFA/VFL premiership in 1993. Chirnside Park is home to the Tigers and is the premier sporting oval and complex in the Wyndham district. At the end of 2007, Werribee announced an alignment with the North Melbourne Football Club.
